“My wife and I have often commented how lucky we are to have met Captain Eric Gervais. Eric has an uncommon approach to critical thinking and problem-solving skills. His attention to details have proven to be instrumental in our Yachting success. I highly recommend Eric if you are looking for passion, dedication and professionalism. Eric “gets-it” and has the genuine ability to deliver results." Marlow Yachts should celebrate the pride and service ethic exemplified by Eric at every interaction……he is invaluable to our Yachting goals.“

“We have had the opportunity to have two Marlow builds, one in 2014 and another in 2020. Eric Gervais was our salesperson for both. Eric has gone well beyond what one would normally expect from sales. He was able to do so because of his knowledge of boating in general, Marlow yachts, and understanding what decisions need to be made by a new owner. He took into consideration our planned usage as owner/operators and our individual needs and desires. As in any build of a complex product, he worked with us and the experts at Marlow to produce boats that are capable, functional, and beautiful. Perhaps more unexpected than Eric’s expertise during the build, he has always been available to answer questions about the boat’s systems. If there were questions beyond his expertise, he would assist in getting to the best people with the answers. As an aside, we have become good friends. I recommend Eric highly.”

“We purchased a 10 year old Marlow 57E with Eric as our broker. Eric did a great job of introducing us to Marlow, the boat and the operation of the boat. Our 57E was our first big power boat although we had chartered large sailboats for many years. Probably the most important function that Eric offered was his knowledge of the Marlow brand and his help in making certain the boat was in the best condition possible before putting the boat on the market. Also, Eric's crew assisted us not only with maintenance issues that arose after purchase, but Dustin was an excellent reference throughout our ownership for questions we had. Finally, when we sold the boat, Eric was able to assist us in making the transaction in an efficient and expeditious manner. As we stated when we sold the boat, "we were done for then, but not done for good", and we will be contacting Eric when we are ready to put to sea again.”

“I have participated with Eric on several transactions of Marlow yachts over the years both buying and selling. Eric is an honest broker representing both the buyer and seller and strives to arrive at a fair deal for both sides. You will not find a better broker than Eric, period, and I have dealt with multiple agents I would not hesitate to purchase or buy a yacht when Eric is involved.”

“Eric met me and toured my yacht before listing. He gave me 5 suggestions to do before going to market. We did those things, listed the boat and she sold within a week. His advice made that sale!
Eric then represented me in buying a previously owned yacht. We encountered some unforeseen issues during survey. He was able to find acceptable solutions and we bought the boat. Without his guidance, that deal was dead in the water.”

Cookie and I do want to let you know how much we appreciate the time you have given us both before and after the sale/delivery of What’s Next II. You may recall that before we bought What’s Next a 53’ Galeon, in September 2021 we had zero boating experience and with the help of a few different training Captains we got to the place of some mastery of her……… We had some grief with the constant breakdowns which were not expected and others at the Yacht Club would just say “Well that’s boating” which never satisfied me……. I wanted something better!!
Our vessel neighbor at the Marco Island Yacht Club is a 2011 70E ‘Road Runner and we had two other Marlows also a 2018 66 CB ‘Nobility” and a 2002 65 ‘ Damn Nancy so Cookie and I asked our Marlow neighbors for time to visit to see the designs and to learn about the quality from real time owners and or Captains…..We got our tours and Marlow got great recommendations and we saw quality that was more than a few years old and in really good shape……. Having had 15 years of High end Motorhomes to travel in around the country which were more spacious that the Galeon we found the Galeon tight and the Marlow with the wide beam much more to our liking……
This is when I spent some time on the MM website looking at available boats and inspecting the inside and outside for learning……. I also spent time reading about the building process and the design process that provided for customers to have it as they wanted it……….This is the same process that was used in the design and building of the Newell Motor coaches we owned and it was an important and exciting part of the building process……. I also read the bio’s of the staff and liked your story………
So we connected and that is when we learned about the extent of the Marlow commitment to clients above all else……. We remember our first visit the MM and how welcoming we felt ….. we also remember how you seated us in the meeting room and carefully showed and explained the how and why of the materials used in the construction process ….. impressive….
After that review we went to the yard and toured a couple 66 vessels both of which were very nice… honestly we knew we didn’t want to wait for the design and build process so we came home but on the way Cookie and I visited and knew we wanted to have a Marlow…….
While In the thinking and learning phase I started to look for Marlow information on Youtube and a couple weeks go by and up pops three videos by Bill Thomas on a 62E CB named Rambler……..he did a tour the boat, tour the engine room and a separate video on how to dock and undock the boat single handed……… I reached out to you and low and behold the Rambler was at your Marina….. we drove up again and toured it and we thought it was perfect for us…….
This is when you hopped into action to help us work on a purchase agreement for Rambler.. We had never bought a used Yacht and knew nothing about Vessel or engine surveys … who to call ……. What to ask for… but of course you did and for each type survey offered contact information on three companies to choose from. I spoke to representatives of all six and it became clear which to use and the results of their efforts provided valuable information about the status of the vessel which was pretty darn good as it should be with a near new status. The process was smooth and thorough mostly via phone or online ……. Some negotiations on pricing and what stayed and what went led to signed contracts, then up again we drive for the Sea Trial…this went well…… More recommendations for licensing etc and MM staff handling the closing with ease or at least ease for us……. We ended up with a checklist of items to be repaired or replaced or added before delivery…
On our delivery date I brought a young captain from our club to be part of our orientation two day trip down to Marco…… first day we were in the Gulf with 4-5 foot seas headed to Boca Grande and while the boat didn’t care about the seas people on the boat had to hold on to something when moving. ON the second day the seas were calm and it was smooth running outside to Marco Island. It would have been nice to be a little farther away so we had another day or two with you……….
Since taking ownership you have become an important resource for all things Marlow, when we cannot figure it out for ourselves we call Eric who knows or finds out what we need…so appreciative of the relationship that we know we can always reach out for help………in fact after we got the boat to Marco end of June we took it North to Pasadena, MD for the summer and on the way we must have called you a dozen times for where is this and where is that and how does this work again………. You were always there for us….
I know this is long winded but the experience has been worthy of an extensive discussion……. In the end we thank you Eric and the crew at Marlow Marine for helping us acquire a boat that will give us some real lifetime experiences……
All the best and all our thanks

Eric Gervais is the best broker in the yachting industry. What makes him the best? If you are buying or building a boat his personal attention to detail and forthrightness about every aspect of the process is professional and knowledgeable. If selling he will get the best price possible for you and make the process smooth and painless. Eirc is a great person. He's fun to be around and becomes a dear friend through buying or selling a boat from him. His assistant Tina is also a joy to know. I couldn't recommend a broker more highly than Eric Gervais and his team!
